Brí is a nationwide charity giving support & information to people with a brain injury, family members and carers.

Medical and rehabilitation research estimate that, Europe wide including Ireland, 2% of people have a long term disability from brain injury. With Ireland’s recent 2016 census reporting a population in excess of 4.7 Million that’s an approximate 94,000 people! Many of us with brain injury look well but have difficulties which are invisible though serious: intellectual, emotional and behavioral hardships have a harsh day to day impact.

This Invisibility can have further difficulties because other people can’t necessarily spot them easily or understand them at all. Information, support and good active rehabilitation after a disabling brain injury are crucially important to each of us and to our families.

Our Mission

Our mission in Brí is to help one another with positive support and insightful information about living with brain injury, to advocate knowledgeably and independently. We strive to focus on improvements in self-support, medical care, rehabilitation, public awareness and prevention.

Our administrative office is based in:

St. Catherine’s Sports Centre,
Marrowbone Lane,
Dublin 8,
Ireland
