The northeast Social event took place in Dundalk on Friday 25^th November. Proceedings began in the Lisdoo Bar & Steakhouse followed by trip to Dundalk Cinema. 41 people attended on the day. Of the attendees there were 21 from Monaghan, 9 from Meath and 11 from Louth.

Brí was given the steakhouse part of the premises for the event. People started to arrive at 11:30am. As people started to arrive the conversation started to flow. There was a lot of interaction between groups, which was great to see. Food was served at 12:40ish, which consisted of cocktail sausages, chicken pieces, sandwiches and more tea/coffee. Ned made a short speech thanking everybody for coming and talked about Brí the four support groups. People then travelled down the road to the cinema for 2pm. The film was Tower Heist which was well received by all. There was great fun in the cinema before the film started. There was a great atmosphere in the Lisdoo and the Cinema. People seemed to really enjoy the experience. People enjoyed meeting members from other groups, there was a bit of comparing notes!

The Westmeath Support group has been in existence for over a year. In that time the number of attendees at monthly meetings has been low. It was decided to change the location, day and time of the meeting to see if that would make a difference. The first meeting in the new location (Serenity House, Kinnegad) took place on 29^th November. There were nine people in attendance and a productive discussion took place. It was agreed that the group would have a Christmas social on 15^th December. If you are from Westmeath, you are more than welcome to the social night in Serenity House on 15^th, proceedings start at 7:30pm.
