Our History
Brí’s formation came from a huge public meeting in 1999 at the National Rehabilitation Hospital, Dún Laoghaire. The enormous lack of services and awareness about Brain Injury were highlighted. People at the meeting unanimously resolved to join together for independent, informed, insightful self advocacy. Brí became a limited company with charitable status in 2003.
